See Softer Side OF These Adorable Pit Bulls Wearing Floral Crowns To Encourage Adoption

Pit bulls have a bad reputation in popular culture, usually being portrayed as ferocious and aggressive dog. Sophie Gamand, a U.S.-based French photographer, has got down to change all that through photographing pit bulls posed with gorgeous hippie flower crowns.

Her photo series, entitled, “Flower Power, Pit Bulls of the Revolution,” goal is to show the sweeter side of these misunderstood animal.

The models in Gamand’s photographs are just some of the adorable dogs in search of homes at three rescue groups in New York. The proceeds from photo print sales will go to those shelters as well!

By means of adopting instead of buying a pet, you could be sure you are not supporting merciless puppy mills together with your money. Puppy mills will continue to function unless people stop buying from them.

As an alternative of buying a pet, visit your local shelter or contact a local rescue group, the place you will likely to find dozens of healthy, well-socialized domestic dogs, puppies, kittens, and grownup pets—together with purebreds—simply waiting for that special home of yours.
